Robocalls and the Do Not Call Registry

• Registration at DoNotCall.gov is free and does not expire.
• The registry stops sales calls from legitimate companies, not scammers, so blocking tools still matter.
• Political calls, charities, debt collectors and surveys are generally not covered.
• You can report unwanted calls to the FTC at DoNotCall.gov.

Caller ID can be faked (spoofed). Hang up on calls that pressure you to pay with gift cards, wire transfers or crypto, or that claim to be a government agency threatening arrest.
